Lutheran Health Network wants to protect patients, visitors and staff from unnecessary exposure to the flu. For the health and well-being of our community, this facility has temporarily changed its visitor policy.*
Only essential adult visitors at least 18 years of age -
designated family members, spouse / domestic partner and
spiritual counselors - will be allowed to visit patients.
Visitors to the hospital will be limited to two (2) adults per patient.
Visitors to the emergency department will be limited to one (1)
adult per patient.
Visitors with flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, chills or
muscle aches, will not be permitted in the facility unless seeking
immediate medical attention.
*Exceptions to the temporary visitor policy may be granted with physician approval.

Lutheran Hospital is a 396-bed tertiary care facility that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 1904. Lutheran's areas of specialized care include northern Indiana's only heart and kidney transplant programs, an accredited bariatric surgery center, Level II verified adult and pediatric trauma centers, an accredited and commended community hospital cancer care program and a certified primary stroke center.
