  • Receives a Medal of Honor from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for success in increasing organ donation rates
  • Partners with MD Imaging, Northeast Indiana Endoscopy Suite, BMA imaging services and the Outpatient Vascular Lab through syndication; entity services become part of Lutheran Hospital

  • Opens advanced cardiac therapy unit dedicated to improving clinical outcomes and quality of life for heart failure patients

  • Lutheran Transplant Center opens a satellite clinic in Valparaiso, Ind.
  • First procedure performed in hospital's new hybrid catheterization lab
2013
  • Opens The Heart and Vascular Center at Lutheran Hospital; includes clinics for advanced heart failure, structural heart disorders, anticoagulation medication dosing and cardiac device placement and management
  • First in northern Indiana to perform transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
  • Lutheran Air II, the hospital's second critical air response helicopter, arrives.
