Cancer Resource Center
The Cancer Resource Center provides education and support to cancer patients and their families. Experienced oncology nurse navigators staff the center, explaining medical information, helping coordinate care and providing details about additional resources. Cancer navigator services are part of the resource center.
Where is the Cancer Resource Center located?
The Cancer Resource Center is located at 7910 West Jefferson Blvd., Suite 109, within the Lutheran Cancer Center on the Lutheran Medical Park campus. Free parking is available in the south campus parking garage.
When is the Cancer Resource Center open?
A nurse is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you need to make other arrangements, please call us at (260) 435-7959.
Is there a charge to access the center?
No. Lutheran Hospital provides this service free of charge.
What is a cancer navigator?
A cancer navigator is an oncology-certified nurse who works with patients, families and physicians to help patients “navigate” the healthcare system from diagnosis through treatment and recovery. Learn more.
Is any cancer patient welcome to use the Cancer Resource Center?
Yes. Our staff supports individuals at every stage of their journey, from recent diagnosis through cancer survivorship. We provide information for any type of cancer diagnosis to anyone who asks for information, regardless of where they receive treatment.
Can you help with support services such as nutritional counseling, home health care, etc.?
The oncology nurses in the center can connect you with the services available in your community.
