Lutheran Hospital's pediatric rehabilitation services provide evaluation and rehabilitation, including speech, occupational and physical therapy, to improve the function and quality of life for children from infants to teenagers.
Occupational Therapy - Our occupational therapists specialize in helping children master tasks such as dressing, self-feeding, fine motor and sensory processing skills. Occupational therapists help children strengthen and improve existing skills or compensate for loss of function.
Physical Therapy - Physical therapy addresses children’s ability to successfully move and navigate through their environment. Our physical therapists specialize in improving areas such as strength, balance, endurance, coordination and flexibility.
Speech Therapy - Our speech language pathologists strive to provide thoughtful, functional, and evidence-based care to address a variety of breathing, fluency, language, cognitive, voice, resonance, hearing, and swallowing/feeding disorders.
Our therapists provide treatment for a variety of diagnoses, including:
- Autism
- Balance impairments
- Cerebral palsy
- Developmental delay
- Infant and pediatric feeding/swallowing disorders
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Neurological disorders, such as traumatic brain injury or tumor
- Plagiocephaly
- Sensory processing disorders
- Speech/language delay
- Stuttering
- Torticollis
- Toe-walking
- Visual motor and/or visual perceptual impairments
- Weakness from cancer or other conditions
